On June 12 the presentation of the “Garage” Center of modern culture (CCC-Moscow Garage) was held in the gigantic building of the former Bakhmetjev bus park. The garage was built in 1926-1927 under the project of the great architects Konstantin Melnikov and Vladimir Shukhov and is a rare memorial of the constructivism architecture. The Bakhmetjev garage was restored by the Federation of Jewish communities of Russia. The CCC-Moscow garage project is financed by Roman Abramovich and is supervised by Darya Zhukova.

The British singer Amy Winehouse performed at the presentation. The photographs with the constructions of Konstantin Melnikov and Vladimir Shukhov were shown during the presentation. The authors of the photographs are the famous Alexander Rodchenko and the Canadian photo artist Richard Pair. The video chronicle of 1920-s from the collection of Nick Ilin, the representative of Guggenheim Museum, was also demonstrated during the event.

Nicolas Serota, the director of the Tate Modern gallery in London, Larry Gagosyan, the owner of the most influential gallery in the USA, Francois Pinot, the French billionaire and the owner of the “Christies” auction house, prince Andre and princess Charlotte, the representatives of the royal family of Monaco, Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst, the international coordinator of the CCC-Moscow Garage project attended the presentation.

The presentation was also attended by the representatives of the Russian world of art: Olga Sviblova, the director of the Moscow house of photography, Vladimir Shukhov, the president of the “Shukhov Tower Foundation”

Foundation, Vladimir Pozner and Ksenia Sobchak, the television anchormen, David Sarkisyan, the director of the museum of architecture, Mikhail Piotrovsky, the director of the State Hermitage Museum, Mikhail Shvydkoy, the former head of Roscultura.
